Insight into Emptiness

with Venerable Drolma

September 21 – October 14

(Plus Bonus Days for Sponsors on October 15 & 16)

No classes on Saturday & Sunday

This is an intermediate course, suitable for students who have attended one of our 10-day Introduction to Buddhism courses or have taken the full online program, The Buddhist Path of Training the Mind and Going Deeper: The Buddhist Path of Training the Mind.

Please join us for an online course based on the book Insight Into Emptiness by Khensur Jampa Tegchok. Emptiness is one of the most important concepts in Buddhism. By learning about emptiness we are able to decrease our delusions and increase our accurate view of reality. We will be studying, discussing and meditating on select chapters from this book for the purpose of gaining greater understanding of this profound topic.

By extinguishing actions and mental afflictions, there is liberation.
Actions and mental afflictions arise from misconceptions.
And misconceptions arise from elaborations.
Elaborations will cease through cultivating emptiness.

Master Nagarjuna’s text, Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way [18.5]

About Tushita

Tushita is a centre for the study and practice of Buddhism from the Tibetan Mahayana tradition. We're located in Northern India, in the forested hills above the town of McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala - the seat in exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Tushita aims to provide a friendly and conducive environment for people of all nationalities and backgrounds to learn about and put into practice the teachings of the Buddha. With this in mind we offer regular drop-in events and courses on introductory Buddhist philosophy and meditation, as well as intermediate level courses and group retreats for more experienced students.
