Tushita offers a variety of Drop-In Sessions throughout the week. No registration is required to attend any of these sessions, simply show up!
The location of the drop-in sessions changes depending upon what other courses or events are happening at the time, but we put up signs to point you in the right direction. If you are unsure where the event is taking place, please inquire in the reception office.
Please be aware that there will probably be a residential course running at the time of your visit, so please keep silence while at Tushita, and try not to be late!
All Drop-In Sessions are offered on the basis of Dana (donation). There will be a donation box at the back of the hall and we welcome any contribution you’d like to make.
Drop-In Sessions at Tushita:
Tushita has three meditation halls which, when not being used for courses and retreats, are open for your private (self-guided) meditation practice. Please inquire with the Tushita reception office for more information about when our meditation halls are vacant.
If you are coming with a group of people, say 6 or more, please call in advance so that we can make sure that your visit happens at the most appropriate time.
Tushita also has an excellent Library, with items for loan and sale. The library is open Monday to Saturday from 9:30am – 4pm (with a lunch break between 11:30 – 12:30).

Tushita is a centre for the study and practice of Buddhism from the Tibetan Mahayana tradition. We're located in Northern India, in the forested hills above the town of McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala - the seat in exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
Tushita aims to provide a friendly and conducive environment for people of all nationalities and backgrounds to learn about and put into practice the teachings of the Buddha. With this in mind we offer regular drop-in events and courses on introductory Buddhist philosophy and meditation, as well as intermediate level courses and group retreats for more experienced students.
