Celebrate Days of Miracles with 16 Inspiring Teachers – February 10 – 24, 2024

Happy (Tibetan) New Year & welcome to our 2024 season to all of our dear friends from India & around the world!

Tushita starts the new season again with an extraordinary event on February 10th, the Tibetan New Year (Losar)!

The following 15 Days of Miracles, culminating in the full moon day of Chotrul Düchen on February 24th, mark the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni performing various miracles in Sravasti in order to subdue arrogance and inspire faith in the Buddha Dharma.

On Losar Day we also honor the anniversary of FPMT founder Lama Yeshe’s passing away. Following Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s advice, we started the tradition of inviting elder students who knew Lama to share their favourite stories about Lama Yeshe to keep his memory alive.

This time period is considered extremely auspicious for practice – the results of any virtuous activities on each of the 15 days are increased 100 million times!

We warmly welcome you to celebrate the Days of Miracles with 16 inspiring teachers joining us again online or in person from different parts of India & around the world!

This year we dedicate the program to the swift return of our precious guru Lama Zopa Rinpoche and requested many of Rinpoche’s close students to share their special stories.

Let’s create skies of merit together!

During these auspicious 15 days we also offer daily Recitation of the Golden Light Sutra as recommended by Lama Zopa Rinpoche:

“The holy Golden Light Sutra is … extremely powerful and fulfills all one’s wishes, as well as bringing peace and happiness for all sentient beings, up to enlightenment. It is also extremely powerful for world peace..”

On the full moon day of Chotrul Düchen on February 24 we present you & your loved ones with another merit opportunity by offering a butter lamp with your special dedication in this holy place!

Please make sure to send us a mail before February 23rd!

More miraculous events await you in 2024!

Please stay tuned for more surprises to be added soon..

About Tushita

Tushita is a centre for the study and practice of Buddhism from the Tibetan Mahayana tradition. We're located in Northern India, in the forested hills above the town of McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala - the seat in exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Tushita aims to provide a friendly and conducive environment for people of all nationalities and backgrounds to learn about and put into practice the teachings of the Buddha. With this in mind we offer regular drop-in events and courses on introductory Buddhist philosophy and meditation, as well as intermediate level courses and group retreats for more experienced students.
