Healing & Transforming Emotions

with Venerable Drolma

November 23 – December 3

(Plus Bonus Day for Sponsors on December 4)

No classes on Saturday & Sunday

This is an intermediate course, suitable for students who have attended one of our 10-day Introduction to Buddhism courses or have taken the full online program, The Buddhist Path of Training the Mind and Going Deeper: The Buddhist Path of Training the Mind.

“My concern is that if we allow ourselves to be anxious and afraid, emotionally disturbed, we’ll only produce more confusion within ourselves. When we’re confused, we spread confused energy to others and the environment. Bringing peace to the world is no small task. Even though you’re concerned, occasionally fearful, your fear does not come from an underlying, ever-present, emotional disturbance.” – Lama Yeshe

Healing & Transforming Emotions is a course about the aspect of ourselves that is both compelling and confusing.  In it we will explore awareness, effect, and change through several ways of learning.  We will be meditating, listening, contemplating, questioning and discussing to further illuminate and integrate our emotional reactions.  Please join us on this journey of exploration and learning.

Teacher

Venerable Tenzin Drolma was born in Chicago, US, in 1961 and became a lifelong learner.  She received her undergraduate degree in religious studies, philosophy and psychology.  She has a graduates degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver and in Buddhist Studies from Maitripa College.  For 25 years she worked in the mental health field.

About Tushita

Tushita is a centre for the study and practice of Buddhism from the Tibetan Mahayana tradition. We're located in Northern India, in the forested hills above the town of McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala - the seat in exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Tushita aims to provide a friendly and conducive environment for people of all nationalities and backgrounds to learn about and put into practice the teachings of the Buddha. With this in mind we offer regular drop-in events and courses on introductory Buddhist philosophy and meditation, as well as intermediate level courses and group retreats for more experienced students.
