New people are most welcome to join but it may be helpful if you do a little reading ahead of time or catch up using the recordings.
This course will explore the variety of Buddhist meditation techniques and their role in helping us develop a calmer, peaceful and happier mind. Through understanding what it is we’re doing when we say we’re meditating (and why we’re doing it), we will seek to gain greater clarity about how to train our mind and the various methods at our disposal. Topics will include: What is the Mind? The Four Noble Truths. Meditation Techniques. Routes to Happiness: Calming the Mind through Shamatha, Taming the Mind through Vipashyana, and Opening the Heart through Compassion.”

- No classes Saturday & Sunday.
- We will be recording the live sessions and posting them for those of you that can not make it live.

Each daily session will be one and a half hours and consist of:
- 10 minutes – Motivation & Calm Abiding Meditation
- 50 minutes – Teaching
- 10 minutes – Question & Answer
- 20 minutes – Guided Meditation
