Review Sessions

Of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Teachings

with Venerable Legtsok

November 5 – 7, 2020

6:00 – 8:00pm (IST)

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will give a three-day teaching on Nagarjuna’s Commentary on the Awakening Mind   on November 5 – 7 @ 9:00 – 10:30am

Tushita does NOT organise or host His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Online Teachings (we wish!) – please visit His Holiness’ own website for further information.

Tushita’s Review Sessions provide an excellent opportunity to discuss and explore some potentially difficult topics that His Holiness taught on that day. They will be helpful for new and experienced students of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy who would like to enhance their understanding and practice.

The sessions will include not only explanations, but also Q&A, meditations, discussions and many tips, how to make the most of this rare and precious opportunity of receiving teachings by His Holiness.

You can join us on Zoom Meeting or Tushita’s Facebook page. For those who cannot make it live the recordings will be available on Youtube. (There is a limited capacity in the Zoom meeting, so in case you would not be able to connect, please follow us live on the Facebook page)

Description

A Commentary on the Awakening Mind by Arya Nagarjuna is a spiritual song praising the inexpressibly profound positive qualities of conventional and ultimate bodhicitta. Whereas conventional bodhicitta is closely related to great compassion and belongs to the method side of the path, ultimate bodhicitta is another name for the wisdom directly realizing emptiness which is the essence of the wisdom side of the path. This concise instruction seeks to inspire us to put wholehearted effort into the unified practice of these two realizations so that we swiftly become enlightened in order to perfectly serve other sentient beings. His Holiness will most likely give a complete transmission and commentary on the 110 verses of this work during the three sessions of this teaching.
