In the practice of Mind Training the Bodhisattva ideal is further developed in us. We do this by examining and challenging that concrete view of our self.
Usually, that absolute self, which doesn’t exist, is put in the center of the universe, as most important and cut-off from all others. To increase our sense of connectedness to others, the Eight Verses of Thought Transformation asks us to shift our view to one that sees who we are in a more realistic perspective.
