Tushita Closed – Coronavirus (COVID-19) Precautionary Measures
Tushita will be Closed Until Further Notice Due to Coronavirus Precautionary Measures
Dear Tushita Community,
Tushita has deeply considered the skillful actions we should take in response to the spread of Covid-19 virus. As a precautionary measure, we are suspending all residential courses, group retreats, drop in activities, and other events until June 6th.
We will be monitoring the situation and will make another decision as soon as possible if further postponements are needed. If you are signed up for a course, we will notify you as soon as we know. Please wait for further notice.
As you may have heard, India is currently not allowing foreign tourists to enter India until after April 15th. And there are further restrictions happening around the world. Please check with your consulate/embassy or airline for more information and updates about entry restrictions.
For now, we have not yet canceled any courses after April 30th. You are welcome to register for any courses or group retreats that are still open. However, as a precaution we would advise you to wait with buying your travel tickets (if you have not already done so), as the situation right now is changing rapidly. If you have registered for a course, we will send you an update closer to the time.
Although our in-person courses at Tushita are cancelled, we have launched an Online Program called The Buddhist Path of Training the Mind, which is a Two-Week Live Online Program starting April 6th – April 17th; 7:30 – 9:00am & 5:00 – 6:30pm (Indian Standard Time), no classes Saturday & Sunday. Click here to register. We will continue to offer online courses during these challenging times. We hope that you can join!
We recognize that these are challenging times for many, we are holding you all in our hearts. Please do take good care of yourself and those around you!
Let’s hope and pray that we can re-open and welcome you very soon!
Warmly,
The Staff of Tushita Meditation Centre
