Cancellation of our drop-in sessions May to July
May 2014
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our drop-in Guided Meditation sessions from May 26 – June 15, 2014. The cancellation was decided upon with heavy hearts and our sincere apologies for any disappointment caused, but we just had to be realistic, and focus on quality not quantity.
During this period we have restrictions on our space and resources, as we hold our annual Nyung Nay retreat. This retreat runs parallel with an Introduction to Buddhism course, and we’ll have a full house; we just don’t have a big enough space to hold all these students AND run the very popular drop-in meditation sessions. Although our Vajrasattva Gompa will remain available, during this season we sometimes have 80 – 100 people attend our drop-in morning meditation and we simply can’t fit them all in!
Our library will remain open Monday – Saturday, and our drop-in movie days will also continue unaffected on Mondays and Fridays at 2pm.
Unfortunately, there will also be a disruption in our drop-in activities in early July.
Tushita is taking an unusual break between June 30 – July 20, 2014, as most of our staff and students will be attending the Kalachakra Initiation conferred by HH the Dalai Lama in Leh, Ladakh, J&K State, India from July 3 – 14, 2014. During this period, Tushita will be completely closed and there will be no courses or drop-in events between these dates.
We hope that you’ll be able to join us for one of these events, or when our drop-in sessions resume.

About Tushita
Tushita is a centre for the study and practice of Buddhism from the Tibetan Mahayana tradition. We're located in Northern India, in the forested hills above the town of McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala - the seat in exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
Tushita aims to provide a friendly and conducive environment for people of all nationalities and backgrounds to learn about and put into practice the teachings of the Buddha. With this in mind we offer regular drop-in events and courses on introductory Buddhist philosophy and meditation, as well as intermediate level courses and group retreats for more experienced students.
