Jhado Rinpoche’s Six-Session Guru Yoga Teachings
May 2014
We were extremely fortunate in being able to spend the weekend in the esteemed company of Jhado Rinpoche. And as if this wasn’t enough, we heard his words in English via the translation skills of the incredible Geshe Kelsang Wangmo!
Jhado Rinpoche taught over 3 sessions on the 10th and 11th of May 2014, giving commentary on Six-Session Guru Yoga. With the skill of a true master teacher, Jhado Rinpoche moved progressively deeper into the explanation of the practice session-by-session, and provided opportunity for the gathered attendees to ask questions. Rinpoche is pictured above left during the preliminary mandala offering, performed by Tushita’s dedicated helpers.
Jhado Rinpoche has also been advising our Gompa painters on the mandalas they are currently working on (on canvas) for the ceiling space above our Lama Tsong Khapa statue. He has visited Tushita a couple of times in the past months for this purpose and also took time on both these teaching days to check on progress (pictured above right).
Audio of these “Commentary on Six-Session Guru Yoga” teachings is available in our archive, although it’s only fair to warn you that we had some difficulties with our sound system during the 3rd session and despite our best efforts to edit the feedback out, the audio quality on this track will be less-than-ideal in parts.
