Saka Dawa 2020 & Our First Intermediate Level Online Courses

https://tushita.info/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Science-of-Happiness-Through-Meditation.mp4

Dear Dharma friends in India and from around the world,

Saka Dawa is the most important Tibetan Buddhist festival day – celebrating Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and parinirvana! Please feel very welcome to join us for a special online course leading up to and including this meritorious day. Remember: on Saka Dawa karmic results are multiplied by one hundred million times!!!

We hope that you will enjoy our excellent programs together with having the satisfaction of helping Tushita survive the current challenging times. Here in India, we have been experiencing a strict lock-down for 2 months now, with no end in sight. This prevents us from hosting our usual residential programs and to make ends meet.

Under the motto “If you cannot come to us, we come to you“, we have launched a series of free online programs, which were even featured in the Times of India and BBC. The enthusiastic response from thousands of students from India and around the world has been heartwarming.

Therefore, we are offering a unique fundraising course “The Science of Happiness Through Meditation” – our first ever online intermediate level program with a very special guest teacher. Venerable Tenzin Legtsok is an American monk, who is studying in his sixteenth year of the Geshe Program at Sera Monastic University, which follows the Nalanda tradition.

And another highlight immediately following! Our free online programs with our beloved Resident Teacher, Venerable Drolma have been hugely successful with thousands of students attending. Having received repeated requests, we are delighted to offer an intermediate level course “Healing & Transforming Emotions“. We are confident this new addition to our online program will be highly beneficial and enjoyable!

Thank You for Your Interest and Support

Thank you all for joining our online courses and supporting Tushita, we couldn’t do it without all of you. Those of you who cannot take part in any of our courses but would like to contribute, practice generosity and accumulate merit, then we have this amazing opportunity for you to sponsor a butter lamp offered on your behalf on Saka Dawa Day with your special dedication.

We deeply appreciate any donations any time. No amount is too small. Please email us at [email protected] to make a separate contribution.

Warmly,
The Tushita Team

About Tushita

Tushita is a centre for the study and practice of Buddhism from the Tibetan Mahayana tradition. We're located in Northern India, in the forested hills above the town of McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala - the seat in exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Tushita aims to provide a friendly and conducive environment for people of all nationalities and backgrounds to learn about and put into practice the teachings of the Buddha. With this in mind we offer regular drop-in events and courses on introductory Buddhist philosophy and meditation, as well as intermediate level courses and group retreats for more experienced students.
