Warm greetings from Tushita &
wishing you all an auspicious Lhabab Düchen!
On Lhabab Düchen we celebrate Shakyamuni Buddha’s descent from the God Realm of the Thirty-Three, after giving Dharma teachings for several months to the gods and his mother, Mayadevi.
This day is one of the four great holy days of the Tibetan calendar and is considered to be very auspicious for practice. Karmic results of actions are multiplied one hundred million times, as quoted by Lama Zopa Rinpoche from the vinaya text Treasure of Quotations and Logic.
To celebrate this meritorious occasion we will have a special program in person at Tushita and live on zoom – you’re most welcome to join us!
We are extremely honoured and delighted that Serkong Tsenshab Rinpoche accepted our request to give teachings at Tushita on Lhabab Düchen!
This teaching is open to everyone and registration is not required.

On this auspicious day we also present you & your loved ones with the unique opportunity to offer a butter lamp with your special dedication in this holy place!
Offering lights to holy objects is a very powerful method to illuminate the wisdom in our minds and to create causes for us to attain realizations. In Tushita, butter lamps can be offered on your behalf on wheel turning days with your special dedication. This offering is done in front of the altars in our Main Gompa in this holy place, Dharamsala (home in exile of His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama).

Help needed with this urgent project during our upcoming winter break:
Renovation of Main Gompa Floor Part II
Due to very long and heavy monsoon seasons up here in the foothills of the Himalayas, it’s very difficult to prevent the wooden floor of our Main Gompa from getting mouldy and rotting at some point.
In 2020, a part of our gompa wooden floor was in very bad shape and unsafe and needed immediate renovation. Thanks to the help of our kind sponsors, we were able to replaced it with a beautiful new wooden floor!
Since last year, the other side of the gompa floor started to break as well. To the degree that walking of our precious teachers and students becomes dangerous at times!
The estimated cost of replacing this second part of the wooden gompa floor will be approximately 15000 US Dollars.
Thank you so much for any contribution you can make for this urgent project!
