2022 Days of Miracles

Celebrate the New (Tibetan) Year with the Days of Miracles!

March 3 – 18, 2022

Tushita starts the 2022 season with an extra special event on March 3rd, the Tibetan New Year (Losar)!

The following 15 Days of Miracles, culminating in the full moon day of Chotrul Düchen (March 18th), mark the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni performing various miracles in Sravasti in order to subdue arrogance and inspire faith in the Buddha Dharma.

On Losar Day we also honor the anniversary of FPMT founder Lama Yeshe’s passing away. Following Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s advice, we started the tradition of inviting older students who knew Lama to share their favorite stories about Lama Yeshe to keep his memory alive.

This time period is considered extremely auspicious for practice – the results of any virtuous activities on each of the 15 days are increased 100 million times!

We warmly welcome you to celebrate the Days of Miracles with 14 inspiring teachers joining us online from different parts of India & around the world!

All online events are offered for free and registration is required!

Translations

All teachings will be in English, except Yangten Rinpoche will teach in Tibetan. For this event there will be translation available into English by Geshe Kelsang Wangmo.

Most of the events will be also available with Italian, Spanish and Portuguese translations. Many thanks to our dear sister centers Instituto Lama Tsong Khapa in Italy, Centro Nagarjuna Valencia in Spain and Centro Shiwa Lha in Brazil for their kind cooperation on this special occasion!

All times are based in India Standard Time. To figure out the time in your country, you’re welcome to use this time zone converter.

About Tushita

Tushita is a centre for the study and practice of Buddhism from the Tibetan Mahayana tradition. We're located in Northern India, in the forested hills above the town of McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala - the seat in exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Tushita aims to provide a friendly and conducive environment for people of all nationalities and backgrounds to learn about and put into practice the teachings of the Buddha. With this in mind we offer regular drop-in events and courses on introductory Buddhist philosophy and meditation, as well as intermediate level courses and group retreats for more experienced students.
